Mission: Desi-fy America

Empower the youth of our community as they go through difficult period of adolescence, living double life and walking a fine line between the Western world – where they live most of the time and Eastern up-bringing.

Support the Parents as they try to face the biggest challenge of their life – raising the kids in this country.

Increase the numbers of Asians on the National Bone Marrow Registry.
Educate and inspire the community to join this worthy cause. Joining the Registry is more than about bone marrow. It is about helping out fellow human being in need.

Promote Random act of kindness.
We are blessed with the education, wealth and talents. It is time to pay back to the community at large and help others.

Promote the Leaders without Title:
While we salute those who hold leadership positions for their contributions. The real leadership starts from within. You may contribute to the society and show leadership without ever holding a position.

Medical School Admissions:
Our community has always over contributed number of physicians (15-20%) compared to our share of population (0.6%). We shall offer the guidance and support to those who are seeking this noble profession. We shall draw upon my experience on the Admission Board at Texas A & M Health Science Center for the past ten years.

Desify America:
It is our hope that if we are able to draw upon all the great values and culture of our homeland and remove all the misguided and outdated ideas so that our values and culture may become an attractive way of life for many non-Asians to adopt. We may be able to Desify America – the only way to guarantee that our great grand children would get the Desi values! (India has never invaded any country but has conquered most of the world by its culture and value!)
